| BlueBottle / SpamArrest v.s. Gallery And Free Site Submitting |

Did you know that you might be losing out on quite a few gallery and free site listings if you use an e-mail address to submit galleries/free sites which
is going through BlueBottle, SpamArrest or a similar service?
Services like BlueBottle and SpamArrest are basicly an intermediate between the sender of the e-mail and the receiver of the e-mail in order to prevent
spam from ending up in the receiver's mailbox.
So when somebody has an e-mail address hooked up to BlueBottle (or similar service), and somebody sends an e-mail to this address, the sender gets a reply
from BlueBottle with the request to confirm he is a real person and that the sended e-mail is not a spam message.
When the sender clicks this confirmation link BlueBottle will let the message through and deliver it to the receiver.
I really like these kind of systems, as they can push back the amount of spam you receive daily quite a bit.
But unfortunatly there's also a down side.
When you submit a gallery/free site, more likely than not you will receive an e-mail which includes a link you need to click in order to confirm your
submission.
If the e-mail address you used to submit is hooked to BlueBottle, the sender (the site you submitted your gallery/free site to) will receive a confirmation
message from said service first, and will need to confirm it's not spam before you will get your submission confirmation e-mail in your inbox.
As the nice guy as I generally am (*cough*) I've just gone through about 20 of these BlueBottle/SpamArrest confirmation messages a few minutes ago so that
the webmasters could receive their submit confirmation messages, but I can very much imagine that not each and every webmaster who runs a TGP or Link List
will do this for you in order to get the confirmation e-mail into your inbox.
